Ladli Behna Yojana For Women In Madhya Pradesh has been introduced by the Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan focusing mainly to make the women financially independent and empowered in his state. Under this scheme women are funded with rupees 1000 per month for those who have registered. This was announced on January 28, 2023 and came into action on March 25, 2023. The second phase of Ladli Behna Yojana For Women started from July 25, 2023, which is called as Ladli Bahna Yojana 2.0.

 Significance of Ladli Behna Yojana  

•  The important aspect of the Ladli Behna Yojana is to empower women in Madhya Pradesh.
• To promote gender equality and make them independent this scheme was introduced.

 Eligibility Criteria 

•  Women who belong to Madhya Pradesh can apply for this scheme and it is also mandatory that they are married.
•  Women who are in the age from 23 to 60 can apply for the Ladli Behna Yojana scheme.
•  Poor to Lower middle class women are eligible to apply for this scheme.
•  Married women and those of divorced, widowed, abandoned women are also eligible to apply Ladli Behna Yojana scheme.
• The important criteria is that the annual income of the family should be less than rupees 2 lakhs and 50 thousand.
•  Less than 5 acres of agricultural land only can be owned by the woman.
•  Women of backward class,SC,ST and general category are also eligible for this scheme.
