In addition to that, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the formation of a category of Ayush Visa for people from other parts of the world who visit India for Ayush-based treatments.
The objective of the Ayush Visa:
This initiative’s primary aim is to revive India’s traditional system of medicine like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. It just doesn’t stop with reviving but also to make our traditional medicinal practices a global phenomenon as envisioned by Indian PM Narendra Modi. This visa also aims to attract people from all over the world to visit India for Ayush-based treatments and thus develop India’s medical value.

- Ayush Visa was introduced by Indian PM Narendra Modi at the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit (GAIIS) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat in April 2022.
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Tourism, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), and the Government of India was signed by the Ministry of Ayush to foster the value of India’s traditional system of medicinal practices.
