Digital Health Cards For Children In Uttar Pradesh

The Urban Development Department of Uttar Pradesh has launched the school health program for the health and well-being of the students in Lucknow. The school health program has started the Lucknow Smart City in three schools.

Objective of Digital Health Cards For Children

Let’s discuss the various features of the digital health cards for children by the Uttar Pradesh government and how it is benefiting them. 

●     The digital health card reports all the mental and physical well-being of 1765 school students who are enrolled under the project launched by the UP government. These schools are at the municipal level.

●     A sum of rupees 25,000 is provided to the children under the digital health card scheme. The digital health card scheme is intended to be implemented in nine other smart cities. This plan is to be executed after the completion of the pilot project.

●     There are about 30-35  members of the mobile health team. There are doctors, paramedics, and medical volunteers who are involved as team coordinators. They treat the children based on their specialty and provide them with a health report card.

●     Three municipal schools including Kashmiri Mohalla Montessori School, Aminabad Inter College, and Kashmiri Mohalla Girls Inter College have been given the responsibility for the checkup of the 1765 children. This is done by creating a unique ID card for each child through desk examination.

●     A unique ID card is provided from where their parents and admin officers can download the report.

●     There is a health cover for children suffering from ailments. . The health cover is a cashless card of rupees 25000.

●     The UP government has become the first state in India to provide digital health cards for children.

●     The digital health report card is being set based on 130 parameters. All the parameters corresponding to the physiotherapy of children are reviewed, which contains persistence, stamina, stance, and others. Apart from this, an eye examination of children is done to inspect color blindness, and eye disorders as well as the concept and glasses are furthermore provided if crucial.

●     Besides all the checkups of dental and oral health for kids as well as proficiency to hear and talk are also examined, which is first of its kind.

●     Workshops are hosted on topics like child psychology, health and hygiene, first aid, etc
