Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme In Andhra Pradesh

The State government of Andhra Pradesh introduced an eminent scheme called “Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme” on January 9th,2020 by the Chief Minister of the state Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. This scheme targets the ultimate development of the state by aiding the education of children who have financial issues.

The Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme offers financial aid to the mother of the child. As per the prestigious scheme,  an amount of INR 15,000 will be granted for the children’s education. Hence families struggling with monetary issues can make use of this money for their child’s education. Families that are below the poverty line can be benefited from this scheme when they apply. Importance is given to the female head of the household, and the scheme is made by the government in such a way that she can access the money directly through her bank account.

The Scheme aims to develop the existing education in the state by helping those below the poverty line to pursue education by providing Rs. 15,000/- to the mother of the child (irrespective of the number of children).  Eligibility criteria for the scheme:

1. The applicant should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh with a white ration card.
2. The family should belong below the poverty line and should have a valid Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card.
3. The children should be studying in 1st standard – 12th standard in a Government school/ Private Aided School/Private Unaided School/Residential School in the state.
4. The applicant should not be a State/Central government employee.
5. The mother/guardian should ensure that the child has a minimum attendance of 75% in school.

How to Apply for Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme In Andhra Pradesh 

1. The first step is to visit the official website of the AP Amma Vodi Scheme.
2. Then download the application form of the scheme from the website.
3. The required details are to be filled in the application form and necessary documents are to be attached.

Required documents:

1. Aadhaar card of the mother and the child.
2. Ration card
3. Residence proof
4. School ID card
5. Income certificate
6. Bank details
7. Passport-size photograph.

• After filling out the application form, click the submit option.
• After getting confirmation, login details of the scheme will be given and that can be used for further updates.
• The list of eligible and ineligible list of beneficiaries will be updated in the village secretariat.
• The final list of beneficiaries will be available to the District collector for approval.
